Project DescriptionThis project started as a sketch and a goal. Today, we have proposed a two story building to house eight different disciplines. Each practice has complete separation between public and private operations, with secondary office entrances to respect the practitioner’s privacy. The Building will house Dental, Maxillofacial, Orthodontics, Optometrist, Gastrointestinal, Physical Therapy and Urgent Care/Primary Physician spaces. The practices are organized from a central gallery space that acts as the connector to the public. This tool minimizes the amount of common space attributed to the building, but more importantly, it routes all public pedestrian traffic to a single location, which makes security extremely manageable and finding your destination intuitive. Additionally, the amount of natural light flooding this space will be conducive as a gathering space as well as minimizing the amount energy consumed. As owner operators of the building, it is important for the Doctors to have a building that will last and minimize maintenance costs and retain its value for the next 30 years. The design of this building has included a balance of durability, aesthetics and cost. |
